This Sunday we welcome guest organist Tim Hartsfield.  For prelude he will play “Come, Holy Spirit, Come” by living American composer Charles Callahan (b. 1951).  The offertory will be “Reflection” by American composer George Blake(1912-1986).  The postlude will be “If I Stand By God” by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). Please welcome Mr. Hartsfield.  Next Sunday, October 13, we will have as our guest flutist Kevin Reams.  Kevin is from New Hampshire and currently plays at the “World Too Beautiful” contemplative service at the cathedral on Wednesdays at 5:45pm.  He is a well-known, award winning musician.  Don’t miss Mr. Reams.

St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry

The weather is cooling down and St. Elizabeth’s is starting to collect jackets and coats of all sizes to give to the needy.  If you have any that you are no longer using, please consider donating them to this cause.  They can be left at St. Nick’s and we will get them to the Pantry.  If the size is not indicated on the jacket, please write the size on a piece of tape and stick it on the garment.  This will be a big help to the sorters.  Thanks.

Our next scheduled date for volunteering at the Pantry is Tuesday, October 8th  from 9:00 to 11:00.  Please see Terry Foster if you would like to participate in this ministry.

The third Sunday of each month is designated as “Giving Sunday” for bringing non-perishable food to the church but this is just a reminder.  Food can be brought in on any Sunday and placed in the basket in the entry.  These goods are donated to our local food pantry to be distributed to those in need.
