ABOUT THE MUSIC

The prelude for this Sunday is “In Humility, Our Savior” a meditation on a hymn tune by Rowland H. Prichard (1811-1887).  The arrangement is by living American composer James Kasen (b. 1956).

The offertory is “I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked” by Canadian-American composer

Geoffrey O’Hara (1882-1967).

The postlude is “Laudate Dominum”, composer unknown.

Due to the fact that Eric Reburn, drummer, had to cancel the drum circle today, we will have a short rehearsal of the St. Nicholas Chimers after Coffee Hour.  Come join us!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

OUTREACH

This Sunday, October 20th, is Giving Sunday

The third Sunday of each month is designated as “Giving Sunday” for bringing non-perishable food to the church, but this is just a reminder.  Food can be brought in on any Sunday and placed in the basket in the entry.  These goods are donated to our local food pantry to be distributed to those in need.

Logan Place

Monday, November 4th is the next date for serving dinner to the residents of Logan Place.  Please speak to Nancy Nickerson if you would like to take part in this ministry by buying, preparing, or serving that meal.

 St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry

The weather is cooling down and St. Elizabeth’s is starting to collect jackets and coats of all sizes to give to the needy.  If you have any that you are no longer using, please consider donating them to this cause.  They can be left at St. Nick’s and we will get them to the Pantry.  If the size is not indicated on the jacket, please write the size on a piece of tape and stick it on the garment.  This will be a big help to the sorters.  Thanks.

Our next scheduled date for volunteering at the Pantry is Tuesday, November 12th from 9:00 to 11:00.  Please see Terry Foster if you would like to participate in this ministry.

Divas

The Divas are meeting for a simple soup and salad dinner at Jane’s, on Friday, November 1st, All Saints Day! Bring something to share and gather round the table for the joy of it. We will get started at 6:30 and all women are welcome.
