This Sunday we welcome guest flutist Kevin Reams.  Mr. Reams is from Somersworth, New Hampshire and currently plays at the “World Too Beautiful” contemplative service at our cathedral on Wednesday nights every other week.  The service is at 5:45pm with the next one being on this coming Wednesday evening, Oct. 16.  Mr. Reams is a well-known, award winning musician.  Please welcome him to St. Nicholas!

Next Sunday, October 20, master drummer Eric Reburn returns to St. Nicholas to conduct a drum circle after Coffee Hour.  This is fun.  Please join us!

On Sunday, October 27, regular rehearsals of the St. Nicholas Chimers will resume.  This is fun, too.  Please chime with us!

St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry

The weather is cooling down and St. Elizabeth’s is starting to collect jackets and coats of all sizes to give to the needy.  If you have any that you are no longer using, please consider donating them to this cause.  They can be left at St. Nick’s and we will get them to the Pantry.  If the size is not indicated on the jacket, please write the size on a piece of tape and stick it on the garment.  This will be a big help to the sorters.  Thanks.

Thank you to John and Lorna Kerbel and Terry Foster for being our volunteers this past week.  Our next scheduled date for volunteering at the Pantry is Tuesday, November 12th from 9:00 to 11:00.  Please see Terry if you would like to participate in this ministry.

Giving Sunday

The third Sunday of each month is designated as “Giving Sunday” for bringing non-perishable food to the church but this is just a reminder.  Food can be brought in on any Sunday and placed in the basket in the entry.  These goods are donated to our local food pantry to be distributed to those in need.
