The postlude is “You Must Be Faithful by American composer Glenn Burleigh (1949-2007).  The words printed below follow today’s Gospel.

Terry Foster, Church Musician

You must be faithful over a few things to be ruler over many things.

Be thou faithful unto death and God will give you a crown of life.

If you have a song to sing, faithfully sing that song.

If you have some love to show, show it the whole day long.

If you have a kind word to say—try to say it each and every day.

If you have a prayer to pray—pray on in Jesus’ name.

Be ye steadfast, immovable, always a-bounding in the work of God.

Know that your labor is not in vain, you shall receive a just reward.

Be thou faithful and God will give you a crown of life.

St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry

The weather is cooling down and St. Elizabeth’s is starting to collect jackets and coats of all sizes to give to the needy.  If you have any that you are no longer using, please consider donating them to this cause.  They can be left at St. Nick’s and we will get them to the Pantry.

Our next scheduled date for volunteering at the Pantry is Tuesday, October 8th  from 9:00 to 11:00.  Please see Terry Foster if you would like to participate in this ministry.

Logan Place

The tenants and staff of Logan Place were enthusiastic recipients of a dinner provided by several St. Nicholas members on Thursday, September 19th.  Folks repeatedly expressed their gratitude.  Contributions from Anna Hamilton, Terry Foster, Pam Hillman, the Nyes and Nancy Nickerson were much appreciated.
