The prelude for this Sunday is an improvisation on the Easter hymn “Now the Green Blade Riseth”.  The tune is from a medieval French carol known as “Noel Nouvelet”.

The offertory is “Sarabande” from the Second English Suite by German composer J. S. Bach (1685-1750).

The postlude is “The Lord Is My Light” by English composer Frances Allitsen (1848-1912).

The prelude and postlude are accompanied by drummer Eric Reburn who will conduct a drum circle immediately following coffee hour.  Please join us!

We welcome the Rev. Amelia Hagen with us this morning as our guest celebrant.

OUTREACH

On Sunday, May 5, we will once again be selling Equal Exchange Fair Trade chocolate bars ($5/each or $12/3 bars).  Proceeds from the sale of these tasty treats will support the work of Konbit Sante’s health partnership in Cap Haitien, Haiti.  Also for Konbit, we will be selling papier-mache hummingbirds made by Haitian artists.  Both the candy bars and the birds could make lovely personal Mother’s Day gifts that also support the livelihoods of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and Latin America.

The St. Elizabeth’s Pantry volunteer schedule has changed from a six-week to a four-week schedule.  Therefore, St. Nick’s will now be scheduled with St. Mary’s on the second Tuesday of each month starting with May 14.  If you are interested in this ministry, please see Terry Foster.  Thanks.
