The offertory is “Near To the Heart of God” by American composer and Presbyterian minister Cleveland McAfee (1866-1944 A.D.).  The words to this composition are very beautiful.  You might wish to read them as the offertory is played.  They are printed below.

There is a place of quiet rest near to the heart of God;

a place where sin cannot molest, near to the heart of God.

Refrain:  O Jesus, blessed Redeemer, sent from the heart of God;
hold us who wait before Thee near to the heart of God.

There is a place of comfort sweet near to the heart of God;
a place where we our Savior meet near to the heart of God.  (Refrain)

There is a place of full release near to the heart of God;

a place where all is joy and peace near to the heart of God.  (Refrain)

The postlude is “Fugue in C Minor” by German composer

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750 A.D.).

After Coffee Hour we will rehearse “Let Everything That Hath Breath”.
