This Sunday we welcome back sacred guitarist, Gary Richardson.  For prelude he will play the African-American spiritual “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” (composer unknown).

 For offertory he will play “Lord, Don’t Move That Mountain” by American composer Doris Akers (1923-1995 A.D.).

 During the Eucharist he will play “The Old Rugged Cross” by American composer George Bennard (1873-1958 A.D.).

For postlude he will play “I’ll Fly Away” by American composer Albert E. Brumley (1905-1977 A.D.).

Sunday May 20, our chimers will rehearse after Coffee Hour for playing in church May 27 after which they will disband for the summer as our folk ensemble starts rehearsals Sunday, June 3.

The Sea Change Chorale in which I sing will be in concert at St. Luke’s cathedral on Saturday, May 12 at 3pm.  A free will offering at the door will go to the Portland Free Clinic with matching funds from Intermed.  Please support this effort to provide medical services to those who can’t afford them and have no insurance.  You will enjoy the concert selections.  The chorale is directed by Dr. Deirdre McClure.
