ABOUT THE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

This Sunday we welcome Quentin Wu of Scarborough who is an eighth grade student at Scarborough Middle School.

For prelude, Quentin’s piano selection will be “The Raindrop Prelude” by Polish composer Frederic Chopin (1810-1849 A.D.).

For offertory, his violin selection will be “Gavotte” by German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750 A.D.).

For our postlude, his violin selection will be the 3rd movement from “Concerto In A Minor” by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741 A.D.) as arranged by Hungarian violinist Tivadar Nachez (1859-1930 A.D.).

Please welcome this fine young musician of outstanding ability!

Plan to join me as we play melodies on our church choir chimes beginning Sunday, October 15.

Please contact Chris Taylor at ctaylorlcsw@gmail.com or 615-5796 if you are interested in helping out with the garden or the Harvest Festival.    Many different tasks are available!  Also, check out the garden website –

CREATION SEASON ACTION ITEM

As we honor and give thanks for the creation all around us during this liturgical Creation Season, I am hoping we can all try to be extra attentive to the resources we use at St Nicholas. During coffee hour, let’s be judicious about how many disposable items we use, and continue to recycle organic waste (like our watermelon rinds, etc. and coffee grounds) in the compost heap and recycle our minimally soiled paper goods waste.  Many thanks!

Please speak with Nancy Nickerson with any questions.
