VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY ON OCTOBER 3

St. Nicholas is responsible for volunteers every six weeks at the St. Elizabeth’s Jubilee Center (essentials pantry) which takes place on the lower floor rear of St. Luke’s Cathedral on State Street in Portland.  St. Nicholas has been involved in the diocese with this most needed service for many years.  Our next date is Tuesday, October 3.  Our commitment is from 9-11am.  The first half hour is spent putting out the donations.  At 9:30am, folks enter the center about 15 at a time.  Since we serve upwards to 250 on most Tuesdays, they are limited to about 15 minutes to peruse the items that have been donated.  At 11am all items not taken are stored.  Terry Foster always serves there.  We need other volunteers from St. Nicholas.  See him for any details not mentioned above.
